Retrieve author metadata (xmlrpc, feed)
-
Hi,
I am trying to put a self made “widget” to my corporate site. I would like to show the last x posts, with title, link to the blog, username, date and the gravatar.
In the feeds I only get the author name.
In the xmlrpc I get a userid, name, login name.
But I need the author email or the email hash so I can build the gravatar url.
it would be great with wp.getAuthors would deliver the hash, so I would have all I need.
Any suggestions?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I believe you are posting to the wrong support forum. the site linked to your username is not a free hosted WordPress.com blog and those are the only sites we provide support for on this forum. I believe you ought to be posting to http://wordpress.org/support/
For clarity please read: WordPress.com vs WordPress.org -

The site linked to your username has this link in the footer. Please click it and find it directs to http://wordpress.org
Powered by WordPress & the Atahualpa Theme by BytesForAll. Discuss on our WP ForumAre you referring to another blog? if so then please post and active link starting with http:// to it.

Well, when I submitted the support question, I had a drop down where I choosed blog.oio.de.
Can’t see that bit of information anymore.
My username as another blog linked to it, and I want it to stay that way – is it possible.

Hello again,
Yes it’s possible to leave that link in place. Thanks for indicating which blog you need help with. The dropdown you used when you created this thread to indicate which blog you were asking about is not visible to Volunteers. Only Staff and the support bot can read what you posted.http://blog.oio.de/ is a free hosted WordPress.com blog and on our blogs xml-rpc is always activated. http://en.support.wordpress.com/tag/xml-rpc/
I’m sorry I cannot help you with what you are asking for. May I suggest that you contact Staff directly with your request?
