Retrieve my followers

I had a blog with a subdomain wordpress.com and recently I registered a new domain with the host SiteGround. I had the SiteGround staff transfer my old blog content under the new domain I created, but I did not know that my followers were not transferred over and yesterday I deleted my old blog :( I received an email with my exporting files, which will be available for 7 days, is there a way I can use those files and transfer over my followers? I know I was notified that I cannot get my blog back and I was silly for deleting it and not checking if my followers were transferred over :(
