Retrieve old blog posts?

  Hi there. I used this account to run my blog some years ago. I no longer own the URL or have it active. Is there any way to retrieve all the posts that I did back then?

  Hi there, which WPcom site are you referring to? Unless you deleted it, your WPcom website never expires and if you no longer have the custom domain for it, you’ll find it at its underlying WPcom address.

  If you are referring to a self-hosted WP site, WPcom does not keep backups of those sites. If your hosting company didn’t keep backups of your site, and you didn’t create backup files yourself, you might look up your domain in the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine https://archive.org/web/ or in Google’s cache to see if they have copies of your site.

  Really appreciate the reminder about the Way Back Machine. I was able to find I’m pretty sure all the posts by digging through that. I had hosted with another company. Thank you for the rec! I was able to gather up about 30 posts that meant a lot.
