Yes, but additionally I had ‘720inthebooks.wordpress.com’ and
‘lindatippettdotcom1.wordpress.com’ (which for some reason I thought had become ‘lindatippett.com)Do you know of a backend/backside where the site contents still exists?

@roamerone If you need to renew the domain mapping upgrade for lindatippett.com you should be able to do so in your site’s Manage Purchases. https://wordpress.com/me/purchases If you have any problem with that, please return here and let us know.
Is it only that domain that you have the problem with or are there other sites/domains involved?

We cross posted.
Both 720inthebooks.wordpress.com and lindatippettdotcom1.wordpress.com are up and running. There’s been a change to the Dashboard, but you should be able to access both under the MY SITES link in the top left corner of the Admin bar at the top of this page.
If you want to access the dashboard at WP ADMIN, you can do so by adding /wp-admin/ to the end of your site address.

My ‘sites’ listed say they are all ‘free’.
I see ‘LINDATIPPETT.COM’ is hosted by GoDaddy.
Perhaps I have not understood ‘hosting’? -
How do I change the name ‘snapcoaching.wordpress.com’ to ‘Your Musical Brain’?
How do I delete ‘720inthebooks…’ site altogether?

Let’s take one thing at a time. :)
The domain lindatippett.com is registered at GoDaddy, but apparently was mapped to your WordPressdotcom site. See here: http://www.whoishostingthis.com/?q=lindatippett.com and https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
If your domain mapping upgrade or upgrade Plan wasn’t renewed, then the domain will no longer appear on your WordPressdotcom site. That is why you are getting a domain mapping error when you visit lindatippett.com
If you wish to renew your upgrade plan with domain mapping, go to your Manage Purchases https://wordpress.com/me/purchases for the site lindatippett.com was mapped to. If you don’t see it there, you may need to be logged in with a different username.
If you have any problem with this or have more questions, please return here and let us know.
