Retrieving a lost website

    Hello, I would like to retrieve my old website that I was using for school. I stopped using it during the pandemic and now that I am re-enrolled I need it to show my advisors, however I don’t know how to get the information needed to recover it. I was wondering how I find a transaction ID, activation URL, or two factor authentication codes. I have access to my registered email address still, and have every email received from all the way back in 2020. Is their any way I can get some help in finding this info? Thanks!

    Hi! As detailed in the account recovery guide, the activation URL and transaction IDs should be in your email inbox (if you’ve not deleted those emails). Alternatively you can find the transaction ID for any purchase you made on WordPress.com in your card/payment method statement.

    If you had activated 2-step authentication, then during the activation process our system would have asked you to save the backup codes somewhere safe, so you’d be able to find them again easily. If you did that, then I recommend checking where you saved them, in order to find them.
