Retrieving a WordPress Blog

How do I retrieve a wordpress blog? I created the blog about a year ago. During the process of revamping my website, the blog was lost.

What happened was the non profit I’m working with revamped their website and somehow the wordpress that was connected to the previous website didn’t transfer over. We didn’t delete it, it just disappeared and we don’t know how to get it back

Did you maybe have a WordPress.ORG install on your old web site?
What were the URL’s associated with your old site and the missing blog? You should be able to go to the blog itself –

That means that you hired a web host ie. go-daddy and set WordPress.org install up. We can’t help you here with it because it’s not hosted by WordPress.com. You need to contact the web host and post to http://wordpress.org/support/ forums for assistance.

See the link I left above for more on the difference – you are about to learn about FTP clients and all sorts of nifty stuff – you will need to look at the server for some files – the WordPress.ORG people will help you with what files to look for – if you find the files the .ORG people can help you recover the contents of the blog – you might need to ask your host if they have your way old site on a backup – other than that – you might need to get pages from the web using search engines and cached copies of your pages and Posts
