Retrieving deleted posts. Help!

  • Unknown's avatar

Help me WordPress! I accidentally deleted a great blog titled, “Let’s Make A Deal” on my blog Beat The Bushes (intended to delete an image, and apparently deleted entire article). Can you retrieve it for me? Please! I’m beggin! I have been all over my admin panel and do not see it – even in draft.

    Thank you!

If you deleted a post and then emptied the trash (or left the post in the trash long enough for it to be deleted automatically), then I’m afraid that it’s gone.

I did not empty trash. I was attempting to delete an image and the post went bye-bye. Any ideas on how to recover?

All of your posts are available at https://beatthebushes.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php . If the post you are referring to is not listed there, I’m afraid it’s gone.

I’d like to try to understand what happened. Were you working within the post editor in your Dashboard, or were you using the quick post option from your admin bar? Had you saved the post in question as a draft, or published it prior to it disappearing? How were you accessing the image to delete it – were you in the middle of creating a post when you went into your media library and deleted the image? Or were you doing something different?

Our system should autosave posts every 2 minutes whether or not you save them manually, but I always recommend manually saving them as well.
