Retrieving or unlocking a reserved blog name

    I own the trademark for the business which I own and operate. In attempting to begin a blog for the company and domain, http://www.wokshack.com, I have encountered a problem, that the name ‘wokshack.wordpress.com’ is reserved. It is possible that I have forgotten registering it se time in the past but upon checking emails I find no record, it might also have been a previous web developer or designer who took the initiative and it was never completed. In the meantime I have registered ‘wokshackworld’ but I would prefer to use the former.

    Please advise on how I can retrieve this name as it is specific to my business.

    If you’re planning on having http://www.wokshack.com redirect to the WordPress.com site, it won’t really matter what the default WordPress.com URL is.

    Do you already own wokshack.com? If so, you’ll just need to get the domain mapping upgrade and point your site to your blog here. Users will only see the wokshack.com address regardless of what the WordPress.com blog address is. The steps are here:
