Retrieving Podcasts from previous site.

    I am trying to retrieve my old content and transfer our podcast to our new site (Squarespace). I am not able to login to wordpress anymore even by resetting the password. Anyone know a workaround? I need to get the podcast and transfer to Squarespace site. http://www.gatherasheville.org

    http://www.thegathering.wordpress.com but it is saying the site was deleted. Can I get the content from Godaddy since they were the host?

    Hi there,

    Since this is a [site].wordpress.com, that site was hosted with WordPress, not GoDaddy. Since the site has been deleted, though, I’m afraid you can no longer recover the files from it. Maybe it was another site that was hosted by GoDaddy. You’ll have to contact them to see about recovering data.

    I’m sorry. I know this isn’t quite what you were wanting to hear. Perhaps the audio files have been stored elsewhere, so that you can reupload them to your new site.

    Hi there,

    https://thegathering.wordpress.com/ was deleted three months ago and it’s not possible to restore it. But our logs also show that site was completely empty at the time it was deleted, so even if I could restore it, the content you’re looking for is not there. Additionally, that site belonged to a completely different username account than the one you’re using to post here.

    The only WordPress.com site in your account is https://gatherasheville.wordpress.com/, and that site is also empty, still with the default content with which it was created two years ago.

    As I told you a few weeks ago in https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/where-is-my-website-31, your domain was previously hosted by GoDaddy, not by us, so most likely the content you’re looking for is/was also with them. You’ll need to contact GoDaddy support to find out if they still have any backup of your site on their servers.
