I was informed it would take three days and cost $850.00 or so to have a duplicate site to be made and online, as the site is archived. As I’m not one who works with site building I would only work well over the phone if an alternative to paying the piper is workable.

I understand that you had a WordPress site back in 2016 and now you’re looking to either get it back or rebuild it. I’m happy to help guide you through this process!
Just so you know, we currently don’t offer phone support, but you can always reach us through the forum. If you have a paid hosting plan, you can also get in touch via email or live chat for faster assistance.
To start, could you please share your website URL with us? This will help us figure out whether it was hosted on WordPress.com or if it was a self-hosted site. Once we have that, we can take a look and decide on the next steps.
If you’re not sure about the URL or if it was a self-hosted site, restoring it might be a challenge unless you have a backup. Do you happen to have one on hand?
If not, there are still options for you! You could create a new site on WordPress.com, or if you’d like, our team can help rebuild it for you. We offer Website Design Services: https://wordpress.com/website-design-service/, where we can create a custom site based on your needs. Feel free to take a look at the details there, and if you’re interested, you can choose a package that suits you and fill out the form. Even if you’re just exploring options, don’t hesitate to fill it out, and our team will get in touch with you to discuss the next steps.
Also, regarding the $850 cost you mentioned—could you clarify where you’re seeing that amount? If another agency quoted that price, it’s worth noting that agencies often have different rates depending on the scope of the project and their expertise. I recommend checking out our design services first, as they might offer a more affordable option for what you’re looking for.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
