Help! return from blog set up to website. when I type in my wordpress url it’s going directly to a blog set up page. I want my website back please!

Hi there!
What’s the URL of your site you’re having trouble with, please?
Perhaps your site hasn’t been launched yet?
https://wordpress.com/support/settings/privacy-settings/#launch-your-site(Also, make sure that your site is hosted here on WordPress.COM. If it is, you can get support here.
If you are using software from WordPress.ORG and your site is hosted elsewhere, you’ll want to go to the .ORG forums here:

Hi there!
Thanks for sending the link to your site! It’s definitely hosted here, and when I go to https://karentabornwalkingharlem.wordpress.com/, I can see a Walking Harlem page and an author picture of someone wearing a lovely, colourful scarf. So the site’s definitely launched, but the only post is from WordPress advertising itself, so it’s not fully set up yet.
Are you saying that there used to be more content here but it’s not there right now?

Hi Jason,
Actually I had this website for almost 3 years now! So, I think I just touched a link I shouldn’t of and it went over to this how to launch a blog page. My cover (top) info is there. This problem happened once before and there was a simple button I had to select to return to my website page. Urgg! I don’t seem to have saved those steps.
P.S. I’m sorry if I’m double posting. The connection via email is not communicating correctly. I keep getting a “noreply” response on email.

I found the communication that was provided for me back in Nov 2020!
I have to find Customize, then Menus, then View All Locations. I’ll share all the instructions if this works.

Jason,
I wanted to share with you the email I got back in Nov 21, 2019.
I’m still trying to make this work and am keeping you posted. Karen

Hi Karen, can you try these steps?
Go to Customize then Menus, and click on View All Locations.
Under Primary Menu click Edit.
This will show you a list of all of the links that will show in the primary menu. In your case — there aren’t any links there right now. But you can click Add Items and start adding links to pages.
You’ve already checked the box for Automatically Add New pages, but you’ll need to add the existing pages.
Be sure to save your changes once you’re done!

For others who may have this problem, I finally figured it out from a previous time I suffered with this issue.
You may have inadvertently selected the “draft” link on your home page.
To fix the problem, while logged into your WordPress.com site, type in https://wordpress.com/post/your full and correct web address here/4
At the top of the next page there should be a “publish” button. Select that and voila!
This should fix the problem! Good luck!

Ahhh, I can see where Draft / Publish would be in the top right when editing both posts and pages.
I’m so glad I could help…by waiting around until you solved it! Thanks for taking the time to share the solution here. No doubt it will come in handy for another forum poster.
