Return to classic old editor
-
I have clicked the block editor in error and got lost. I would like to get back to the classic old editor which I am used to and comfortable with.
Every time I click ‘add new’ post I get the block editor. How do I get back the classic old editor?
Thank you for your help.

Hi bharatabharati
To switch to classic old editor you just need to follow few steps
1. When you click on add new post the editor will be opened
2. Click on the three dot on the top right corner of the screen
3. Select switch to classic editor option.Hope this helps.

Clicking on the dots in the right hand corner of the screen does not offer a switch to classic editor option.
The editor options given are Visual Editor and Code Editor.
The whole menu only gives block editor options.
Or am I missing something?

Thank you.
My problem was that I could not scroll past the title Options. So I clicked on Options which took me to another menu.
After reducing the size of the browser by ten per cent, I could then see the Switch to Classic Editor title.
Thank you for the screen shot and your time.

I also had the same problem on my blog. When i updated WordPress, it changed to a new type from classic. I had to go and download the “Classic” plugin.
