returning twentyfourteen to default palette

Was experimenting with the palettes, decided that the default palette was best, but it refuses to save back to the default palette. Seems happy to save to all the other palettes though. Any ideas?

I have the same problem and can’t be of much help.
It doesn’t help to change background colour from dashboard > appearance > background either. The colour scheme from the Customize menu seems to override…
I’ve clicked ‘Default’ numerous times, but it won’t save.

colderweather: I have reset your palettes. Can you check and lit me know if that worked for you?
iainrbh: This is an issue that we are aware of, and are still working on a fix for. In the meantime, can you try this workaround?
- Go to Appearance>Custom Design
- Click on the button to priview colors for free
- This will launch the customizer, and when it does, try clicking the “Default” button again for the colors, then save that change
