  I let my domain expire, but it’s not available for purchase here or anywhere else. Do I have to wait six weeks, or can I reup my domain here?

  Your domain adamemperorsouthard.com expired on January 31. We sent several email warnings both before and shortly after it expired.

  Why did it skip the grace period and go straight to the redemption period?

  This is because you canceled the domain after it expired, rather than renewing it.

  It expired January 31, and you canceled it February 1.

  When that happens, the domain skips the grace period so that it can move along towards its return to the public market a bit quicker.

  That’s not true. All I did was let it expire. I wasn’t aware of the 90 day wait that would occur, so obviously that was a mistake.

  According to our logs for your account and for the domain itself, your account cancelled the domain on 1 February. If you didn’t do it, someone else with access to your account did. But the domain was definitely cancelled, and that is why it’s already in redemption.

  If you want to restore it, please complete the payment via the link staff-blorbo sent you yesterday. Otherwise you can also wait for the domain to be released at the end of redemption, but we cannot guarantee that you’ll be able to register it again at that point.
