Reuse a deleted blog name

  I deleted the blog mesopotamiandiaspora.wordpress.com which is the same as my user name, now when I try to create a new blog with the same name it says this blog already exists, but it actually doesn’t, because I just deleted it.
  I waited a week for the servers to update the blog information and I tried again and it still says the blog already exists, please help.

  I’m sorry but deleted blog URLs here are not recycled.
  See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
  and http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  You can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

  Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.
