Reuse inactive domain

    Hey guys,

    I would like to purchase a domain via wordpress but the website name I want to use is already taken by someone from Blogger that has been inactive for 4 years, and not a single article posted.
    I suspect the website is not being used anymore.
    Can you please direct me to some legal methods for fixing this?

    I am assuming you are asking about a custom domain name? If so do a whois to find the owner of the domain name and contact them and see if you can work a deal to buy the name from them

    Note that some people park names that have personal meaning to them – sometimes with intent of making a site sometimes just to make sure nobody else uses the name – also life can get in the way of making a web site

    If you have trouble finding the owner – post a link to the site here and someone should be able to give you a whois link or other help
