Reuse old blog name?

  We originally were working on kimberlystrenk.wordpress.com, but accidentally set up a new site kimberlystrenk2.wordpress.com when we purchased a new template. In hopes of not having to repurchase the template, we renamed the original blog to kimberlystrenk3.wordpress.com so that we could use the original name on the KS2 site with the updated template. But, it says the name is already taken!

  Questions:
  -Is there a way to re-use the original blog name? (we didn’t delete any sites, just renamed the original to free up its name)
  -Can we domain map the blog to an existing website we own?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  At present, you have 3 WordPress.com sites associated with your account:

  • kimberlystrenk.wordpress.com
  • kimberlystrenk2.wordpress.com
  • kimberlystrenk3.wordpress.com

  https://wordpress.com/sites

  If you need to move content from one site to another, you can do that:
