Reusing an old blog name

    Hi.

    I used to own a blog: quantitecture.wordpress.com. I deleted it a couple of years ago. Is there any way I could revive the name?

    I’m not trying to recover the old content, just would like to resurrect the name.

    Sorry, no there is not. WordPress.com does not recycle blog URLs. You could use some variation on that name perhaps.

    This is one of the reasons I encourage people to set blogs they don’t think they want to private just in case a year or two down the road they want to revive it.

    You could also get your own domain name and map it to a blog here.

    Appreciate the quick response though the answer wasn’t what I wanted to hear. Yes, I was aware of the option to get my own domain.
