Reusing Email Address

  Hi,

  I followed the instructions here:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/

  concerning email address changes and reusing email addresses, but I am unable to reuse my chosen address (since changed) with my chosen WordPress site/domain.

  How long should I wait for the system to fully remove the address from the unwanted WordPress/domain?

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Hi there,

  What’s the name of the previous account that you no longer want your email address associated with? I can check and see if the address has been properly replaced. Did you create a throwaway address to replace the one you want to use under your new account?

  Yes, I followed the directions (removed the first address, added a different one).

  The unwanted domain is:

  Hi there,

  I see that there was an email change about 12 hours ago. Is that the email change you needed? So, the email you changed from you still cannot use?

  Let me know and I’ll take a look at what is holding up the old email.

  Yes, that was the change I wanted. I am now able to use my preferred email address with the new domain.
