Reusing username
-
I accidentally registered a username that I want to use to rename my existing blog. The documentation says that once registered, usernames can’t be reused, meaning that even if I rename the new account the name I wanted is lost. What’s the workaround? Am I scuppered?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Also, as a general note I would like to note that I am manifestly unimpressed with WordPress forcing me to “ask the community” in public for help. But that’s a side issue.

Hi there,
You can consult the support documentation here http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/
If that does not answer your question you can use the support link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ and id it loops back here you can email support@wordpress.com -
NOTE: When we register a username account the matching blog is reserved for our future use. It cannot be obtained by anyone other than the person who has registered the matching username account.

These comments are broken up as I’m multitasking from work and answering phones here.
Every blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the username account who registered the blog under that username account. That person can add the other username account(s) ie. yours as Admin to the blog you want to be transferred and then must use the process to transfer the blog to your other username account.
