Reverse a site deletion
-
Hello. This evening (15th of October), I changed a domain (qh18e17group6.wordpress.com) into (vuthu0613.wordpress.com) without being aware that the site will be deleted.
I really need the old domain as it is used for my final assignment. Could you please reverse it for me as soon as possible? I would be grateful if the domain was reversed after few hours since the due day is coming.
Please help me. Thank you so much. I’m looking forward to hearing from you.WP.com: Yes

Hello there!
I am afraid to say that you won’t be able to use the old site address as it will not be available for use again. For more info please read the support doc here: https://wordpress.com/support/changing-site-address/
Once you change the “example” part of example.wordpress.com, the old address will stop working. Visitors will not be redirected to your new site address. The old address will not be available for use again.Regards:

Hi there,
As explained in the warnings when you change the site address, an address change cannot be reversed.
But deleted sites can be restored for up to 30 days, so I have restored the site to your account.

Thank you so much for your help. But this means that I cannot publish the site right? I am able to edit it now but when I click on “Visit site”, there’s still a notification that the site has been deleted 😥
-
That’s likely coming from your browser. If you clear the browser cache, you should be able to see the new, restored site.

Thank you, I tried clearing the browser cache and I can see the site now. But I’m still a bit confused when you say “the site can be restored for up to 30 days”. Does it mean that after 30 days, I won’t be able to use and publish the site anymore?
-
If you only contacted us after 30 days to ask for the site back, it would have been too late. After 30 days, it’s no longer possible for us to restore a deleted site.
But in this case you contacted us within 24 hours, so we were still able to restore the site, and it will continue working indefinitely unless you delete it again :)

OMG thank you so much for replying me so quickly and helping me restore the site. I’ll be more careful. Have a nice day!
