  When I downloaded the theme it didn’t look like the one on the themes page. It was for a new site. I am wondering if the theme changed because I modified it for a different previous site and it defaulted to that instead of the original settings? How do I get the regular one?

  What is the name of the theme you refer to?

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG run different versions of some themes with the same name. The versions cannot be transferred between wordpress.com and wordpress.org sites.

  There is a Gateway theme version available for download to be used on your WordPress.ORG self-hosted installation. The download link is at the end of this page https://wordpress.com/theme/gateway You can also find it here https://wordpress.org/themes/search/gateway/ and the theme support link is https://wordpress.org/support/theme/gateway/

  This is wordpress.COM support. We do not provide support for local installs of wordpress.ORG software, or for wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
