Reverting back to Classic Editor

Well, I clicked the “try the new editor” link and now my blog has reverted to this new editor. I tried it, I hate it. From what I seeing on the wordpress.org support forums, etc. a lot of people hate it.

I have a wordpress.org blog and can figure out how to revert to classic editor but doing so on a free wordpress.com blog eludes me.

Is there a way to change a blog back to the classic editor as it was or am I destined to struggle with the Gutenberg editor’s sorta classic block?

Did I mention that I hate the new editor? Not intuitive at all, clutzy, and messes up.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there!

You can switch back to the Classic Editor.

Take a look at this forum post. There’s a video that shows you how:

    1. While editing a post or page, click on the three dots menu at the top right
    2. Click on Switch to Class Editor, which is the last item at the end of the drop down list

    Hope that helps!
