Reverting domain

  Hi,
  We trialled a ‘business’ plan for our site, but decided we didn’t need that. However, the domain changed from .wordpress.com to .wpcomstaging.com and we’d like to revert to the old domain. I understand that the .wordpress.com domain doesn’t work with the Jetpack plugin, but can I remove Jetpack plugin to take the site back to its original url? It’s confusing for users at the moment.

  Hello there,

  Ok, so do you need to cancel the business plan?

  If yes, in order to downgrade your site, we must revert it back to the point when you installed your first plugin or custom theme.

  Your site’s theme, and customizations, such as widgets and menus, will return to the state they were before upgrading to the business plan. This process will also remove all plugins and custom themes, as well as any content added through them, and you will no longer be able to add plugins or custom themes to this site unless you upgrade again in the future.

  This will also revert the site back to the original .WordPress.com domain.

  Also Jetpack is built into all plans with WordPress.com.
