Reviewing and Deleting ‘Comment’ deleted my post!

    OK. I’m new to this. I had just added my 2nd and 3rd posts. In my 3rd post, I included a link to my 2nd post to make a point. I then received an email from wordpress saying “A new comment on the post (my 2nd post) is waiting for your approval. Going back to my blog, I discovered that my 2nd post had a comment attached to it which was basically the content of my 3rd post. It was not a comment that I had initiated, and it was not a comment from someone else. So I deleted the comment, and only too late discovered that this deleted my 2nd post! ! ! This really stinks, and I hope someone can please tell me why this happened, and why WordPress did this stupid thing.

    Please help!!!

    The comment you saw was a self-ping, and you can read how to stop them from happening here:

    What happened to your post, however, is not normal behavior. If i were you, i would contact support using the Support button that is normally available on your Dashboard Monday-Friday. Make sure you include your blog’s URL (which you didn’t do here) plus any specific information you remember about the missing post.
