Revise posts by date
-
I’m new to the blog world. I would love to create a blog of my daughter’s 1st year. Is there a way to go back and edit the order of your posts where they show up in order BY DATE on your home page (as opposed to order of your post)?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
There is no setting to reverse the order. Blogs are essentially a reverse chronological order publishing tool and you cannot change this order on a free hosted WordPress.com blog.
Readers arrive to read our most recent posts. In the case of my blog that means they don’t have to slog through over 800 posts to locate the most recent one.
See here for the option of creating a book-like structure > http://en.support.wordpress.com/write-a-book/ Perhaps that will work for you.
You could use a sticky post as an index page > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts

Almost the same as the write a book above – Make a new page maybe – “The First Year” – then list the Posts by hand in order on that page – those that want to find links in order can then visit that page if they want
when I am a regular visitor to a blog I like to see the most recent at the top – freshest
