Revising content and posts

    How do i revised content and fix typos in posts after they have been published, without an email going out to everyone who is following? I see typos after I post and try to clean it up and then I see a bunch of emails showing I made changes.

    Also, how do I add Content to a Page – other than listing cookbooks with links on one page I don’t see how I will be able to add photos and posts to other speciality pages (like Friday Cooking, etc.)

    Can someone please help? Thanks!!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    1. You can temporarily set the blog visibility to private and then set it to public when you are done. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

    2. Posts and Pages are different. Pages are only for static content. Posts are for your ongoing entries which by default appear in reverse chronologial order on the front page of your blog.

    3. uplaoding images

    4. See here for intrsutions for creating a cusom menu. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ There is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts and we cannot post to more than that one page. But we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page.

    We organize our posts by assigning Categories to them. When we publish a post it automatically appears on the running page for posts and also on the Categories pages and Archives pages. Note: There must be one published post in each Category in order for there to be anything to display.

    A custom menu allows you to display Categories with drop-downs to sub-categories in tabs along the horizontal navigation where normally only Pages tabs are displayed. If you wish you can also include Pages with drop-downs to sub-pages and/or custom links in your custom menu as well. You are in charge of what appears in a custom menu. You choose the order in which to display any and/or all the foregoing in your custom menu. You choose which to display and which to hide.

    (Emphasis mine)

    Staff has said before that posts go out to your subscribers only the first time.

    Timethief (or anyone else), if this is no longer valid, please let me know.

    @airodyssey
    Yes, that is what Staff have said. Your link is more recent than my outdated information. Thanks so much for posting it.

    I subscribe to my own blogs – one email when published – no additional emails when edited – (I edit a lot after publishing – seems I can’t get the typos out no matter how many times I proof read) – then there is the opps that a reader might find
