Revision Deletions
-
We need the ability to delete revisions without having to use a third-party plug-in, since it sometimes has issues. I understand the need for having them, but we need this ability for several reasons.
1) since we all use this site differently, not all of us need 12 copies of what has periodically saved. 2) it bloats the database for WordPress for us to have this many copies of revisions in every blog.
That being said, a similar but different need is for us to limit the number of revisions to something more manageable than the current setting.
Both of these can be accomplished if we are given access to the WP-Config.php file that we would normally have access to if we were using the .org site. OR it can be given to us through some other control means. Either way, we need both access points to control what happens on THIS site. It benefits BOTH WordPress and us.

I believe you don’t have to worry about post revisions if you’re on wordpress.com blog.
But since you mention about:
– third party plugin to delete revision
– bloats the database
– access to wp-config.phpIt looks like you’re using self hosted wordpress and not hosting your blog at wordpress.com
This forum provide support for WordPress.COM (service) users only. If you’re using a self-hosted WordPress.ORG (software), visit this page to get support: https://wordpress.org/support/
Please note that you need separate account in wordpress.org forums. You can create new account at https://wordpress.org/support/register.php
