Revisions

Hi, working on site updates for a client, I’ve not used wordpress before and wasn’t part of the initial website build. I can’t see the Revisions option anywhere within their wordpress CMS, it’s not on the right hand side where all the posts suggest it would be within the ‘Publish’ block. It’s not an option within the ‘screen options’ either, I want to try making some changes but want to ensure I can revert back to the preview or older versions. Please help.

    Hi there :)

Backup is a feature of your site’s Activity that is available to you on our Business and eCommerce Plans. It takes automatic backups of your site, allowing you to pick a point in your Activity Log and restore your site to the exact state it was in at that point in time.

    Please read the documentation here:

    https://wordpress.com/support/restore/

There are also several plugins that you can use for backups, including on the free version of WordPress in case you are using WordPress.org

  • What is the URL of the site you are working on? We’ll be happy to take a look and see if we can help.
