Revisions absent in Screen Options, posts/pages, can’t save edits

Hello, I am hoping you can help and apologies if in the wrong forum – I don’t know how/where to access .org; it has been awhile.
Recently the Revisions setting disappeared in my Options screen and therefore in posts and pages. Somehow some spacer and line blocks on my home page were not showing. To fix I thought I would restore an earlier version via the Revisions on the Block Editor page.
However the Revisions in the Editor neither Block nor Classic were showing. Nor could any changes on the page be saved either.
I checked the wp-config file and noticed at first the WP_POST_REVISIONS code was not there. I added it back, cleared the cache but the Revisions did not appear.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Unfortunately, we cannot assist because your site is not hosted on WordPress.com. It’s a self-hosted WordPress.org site hosted by a different hosting company.
We do not have access to self-hosted sites, so I cannot see the setup of the backend of your account.
To clarify:

You have to pay the host when you’re self-hosting, and the server, security, updates, and site optimization are all handled by you. This gives you more flexibility and control of your plugins, themes, and code but also more responsibility to ensure those things are operating correctly.
