Hi!
Try giving this CSS a try:
.site-container { background: none repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;}
Let me know if that works for you.

Does it matter where you add the code? I have tried cut & pasting this several places in style.css and I can’t get the dots to go away. Do I need to delete something else? I am using wordpress.org The website is dressthisnest.com

@kryslohmann I am glad it worked for you!
@dressthisnest Editing the CSS requires the Custom Design Upgrade. If you have this upgrade, you will go to Appearance->Customize->CSS to access the CSS editor. You can then add the above CSS code to the CSS editor.
If you do not have the Custom Design Upgrade, here is a link to show you how you can get it: http://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/custom-design/

@dressthisnest
We cannot help here with that WordPress.org install which is hosted by blue host. We provide support only for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs being hosted right here on this multiuser blogging platform.If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

@dressthisnest, the code give above will work with the WordPress.com version of Adelle, but the self-hosted version of the theme is different. This is the code you would need to use, and you would edit the CSS for your theme at Appearance > Editor.
body { background: none; }On another issue, I’m having no luck getting dressthisnest.com to load in two different browsers (freezes them up and I have to force quit). Since we at WordPress.com do not have access to your self-hosted WordPress.org site or files, we cannot look to see if there is something wrong. I do notice that you appear to have a high number of posts showing on your main page with a lot of images, and that might be causing the problem I’m having. You may want to go to settings > reading in your dashboard and set your site to show perhaps 2 or 3 posts.
I tested your site at Pingdom.com and it reports your main site page took nearly 38 seconds to load where as the average is 4-6 seconds.

If you try the change at settings > reading I mention above, and it still tests as slow loading, I would suggest posting over at the support forums for self-hosted WordPress installation at http://wordpress.org/support/ .

Hey @thesacred path, thanks! I still can’t get the dots to go away (no idea what I’m doing wrong), but I appreciate your feedback on the load time. It always loads fine for me, but it’s always great to hear what the experience is like for others. I will definitely try to rework the theme so it loads quicker. That is great advice! As soon as I get rid of these troublesome dots, I will work on that!

Oh I got it to work!!! I changed the stylesheet.css under /*OVERALL*/ from:
background: #fff url(‘images/background.gif’) repeat-x top center;}
to
background: #fff none;}
as per @thesacredpath code above. I just wasn’t deleting the other part before, so that’s why it was still showing up.
Thanks for your help everyone!
