Revolution Slider – Edited CSS – Can't undo edit?
-
Hey all – I was using a basic FREE wordpress theme and wanted to embed the code for a slider I made with revolution slider to achieve a certain look.
I since decided that the theme didn’t work out quite right and activated a few other FREE themes since then – each bringing forward the revolution slider (I’m guessing in the code?). It was a bit of a hack fix to achieve a specific look, which becomes more apparent each time I try a different theme to achieve the overall look I was after.
PROBLEM : I can’t make the slider STOP appearing in the themes I activate and I don’t want it to appear as it is basically overlaying other sections.
UNSUCCESSFUL FIXES (to date) : I went back to the originally edited theme and removed the php file that carried the revolution slider >> It did work to remove the slider from that theme. YaaaY .
—However—- every other theme I activate still brings the slider forward automatically. I’ve scoured the code in these other themes and cannot find the specific rev slider php file *anywhere* so I’m not sure why oh WHY it keeps popping up.
I cleared the cache in my browser — I didn’t have any cache plugins installed at the time in wordpress (that I’m aware of / or can see)
I tried installing a new theme from the customize page overtop of the original theme I had added the code to (AFTER i removed the code AND the rev slider did NOT show up) … however in the newly activated theme .. there it is >> the slider again.
I’m super green on these ideas and have a rudimentary understanding of code and limited exposure to all wordpress has to offer for website building. Clearly juuuuuust enough to be dangerous.
Any help appreciated
