Revsing layout/appearance in Modularity Lite
-
I posted this in Themes and had no response, maybe because it is more of a customization question?
I guess the main question is can I acheive this without CSS customization?I’m wanting to change the appearance of my blog which has the Modularity Lite theme installed to look like the example shown here: http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2010/06/24/new-theme-modularity-lite/
in which appears has the image full width above the blog column on the left and two widgets next to it.
Is this possible with WordPress.com or does it require custom CSS in WordPress.org?
Here is what my blog looks like right now: http://www.jaytaylorphotography.com/Photography/Inbox/Modularity-JT/1007980674_J8zKs-XL.jpgThanks for your help,

Since your username is linked to a smugmug page, and you have not given us a link to the blog, we can’t take a look. A screen shot is nice, but not of much help really.

Oops, sorry about that.
Here is a link to one of my blogposts:

If you look at the announcement, it gives the minimum image size that you must upload into each post for inclusion in the slideshow. You can upload them larger, but if they are smaller, distortion in the images can take place.
At appearance > theme options, you have to enable the home page slideshow, and to get the sidebar, you have to enable it on the same page.
The slideshow will pull the first image from some number of posts (don’t know how many) and rotate them at the top of the post column on the main page.
