Rich text editor gone (not cache problem!)

Why is my rich text editor gone? I don’t think it’s a cache problem since I’ve cleared everything in Firefox, even reinstalled it… but nothing. Tried other browers, but none seems to load the rich editor toolbar on WordPress, because other websites that use wysigwyg load properly. How can this be solved? Thanks in advance.

Just to be sure something isn’t right in your settings go back to your Profile page and make sure the checkbox for the visual rich text editor is checked, click it a couple of times to be sure and then click “update options” to save. It sounds stupid I know but it has worked for other people.

I came here with the same problem and voila! Solved. Yes the rich text editor in my profile had been unchecked,..which oddly enough I don’t remember doing but whatevs. We’re back to normal now.

This just worked for me too. I don’t think I ever unchecked that box. Was starting to pull my hair out trying to find an answer. Thanks all.
