Rich Text Editor missing when editing comments
-
I have upgraded to 2.1 and found that the Rich Text Editor is missing when I moderate comments. Is this a bug or done on purpose? It shows up when I create a new post or page. When I am editing comments it only shows the ‘Code’ view of the editor and not the visual mode.
Thanks,
Mike

You need to be over at http://wordpress.org as you’re running different software than we are here. Doing a search first would be recommended as well since I know the issue has come up before.
Suggestion – Always read a post labeled Please Read me First
Hope this helps,

Is it possible that you are in the wrong forum? This is the wordpress.com support forum for blogger who are hosted by wordpress.com who are all working on a wp MU (multi-user) blogging platform. WordPress.com and wordpress.org run on different software. We do not “upgrade” here our beloved geeks do that for us. So I’m inclined to think you need to be over here http://wordpress.org/support

Thanks for the quick response. I have plowed through both forums and have not been able find my answer. I have 2 areas setup, 1 on my own server and one hosted on wordpress.com. Did the wordpress.com ever offer a Rich Text Editor for comments? I had assumed that they were both similar as I just upgraded from 2.0 to 2.1 for the spellcheck feature. I will post on wordpress.org as well.
Thanks.

Did the wordpress.com ever offer a Rich Text Editor for comments? No not that I know of. But what would it matter if it did? We are running on wordpress MU (multi-user) software here.

Your wordpress.org blog is *not* running on the same software as your wordpress.com blog. They are different.

Yes I guess you are right that it doesn’t matter since the hosted version never had the rich text editor but the installed version did. I just wanted to confirm that.
Thanks
