Does anyone from WordPress.com ever look at this stuff?
Stats are useless.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.com stats are not a real-time counter and they don’t work like Google Analytics.
The “Views today” number is aggregated and updated differently than individual post views.
Individual posts can show higher counts because:- views may include traffic from previous days that finished processing later
- bots, feeds, email opens, and cached requests can be attributed to posts but not to the daily total
- stats are sampled and filtered, not a strict sum of all visible numbers
So those numbers are not meant to add up perfectly. They’re intended for trend tracking, not precise accounting.
If you need exact, audit-level analytics, you’ll need an external tool. WordPress.com stats are directional, not forensic.

So, first, thanks for your response. I have previously posted about this several times when the stats look to be way out of bounds. No one responded.
Please tell me about the “external tool” and how to get it.
Again, my thanks to you.
