Why the hell does everything have to be so confusing?
A previous blog which I never used had a name I wasn’t fond of, so I went about changing the name of the URL and I did it. But whenever I log in I’m told the annoying URL is in use even though it is not set as primary – this is shown in the URL that can be visible at the top and presumably the one I’d share with others.
In the end I tried to delete the annoying URL but it kept trying to delete the one I wanted instead (and is available to use).
So why on Earth can I not just simply have ONE page, called whatever I want (with the .wordpress.com suffix) and just be done with it? Why must this website make everything confusing, 100% of the time?
Blogger seemed infinitely simple compared to this.
If I change my URL it gives me the option to delete the other, but instead I decided to keep it, however since I’ve done that, it uses the annoying URL as the default (regardless of primary setting) and since I don’t want to change my name again I have no option to just outright delete it without it simply messing up and trying to delete the actual URL I want.
Any help, or must I go elsewhere for a more simplified experience?

However, it would be a lot easier if you could speak in specifics. What URL do you want and what would you like to delete?

To delete a free hosted WordPress.COM blog you must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered a blog to delete the blog. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click.

Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

That’s not helpful unfortunately. What I’m saying is when I try to delete the URL and put the code in, it.comes up saying it wants to delete the one I want to keep. All I wanted to do was rename my existing one but the old URL won’t bugger off because I said keep the old URL. Due to keeping it now I can’t remove it without removing everything else in the process which is something I don’t want to do.
Doesn’t matter anyway, I’ll use Blogger instead.

When i go to http://downfallofhumanity.wordpress.com/ it says ‘Corrupt Society’ as the site name in the top left hand corner and on the browser tab – this is the blog you want to keep so lets focus on it, are you trying to change the site name or the url?
It sounds like you want to keep the URL ‘http://downfallofhumanity.wordpress.com/’ and get rid of thebuglist.wordpress.com.
If I was you I would rename the site title of thebuglist to something like old blog, and then i would set it to private, bang its gone (but i can get back to it if i really need to).
And then I would rename the site title of http://downfallofhumanity.wordpress.com/ to The Downfall of Humanity so it matches the url, or just keep it as corrup society, but The Downfall sounds cooler and more dramatic, but thats my opinion.I got a little confused but I hope that helps :)

However, I’m sorry you to see you leave WordPress.com and wish you all the best with your move to Blogger.
Blogging is blogging and while we love WordPress.com, we love blogging in general even more.

Yeah I just hid thebuglist which is titled downfallofhumanity and instead use downfallofhumanity (url) with the tital Corrupt Society.
I’ll continue to use word press.
Sorry for whining in my OP lol.
