Ridirect Loop
-
Hi I’m having an issue with our website having a redirect loop. When we type our domain in (fpcomedy.com) it’s inconsistent. Every once in awhile it’ll go through, but sometimes it’ll show an error page, come up as http://www.www.www.www.fpcomedy.com, or have a ridirect loop error. I can’t seem to find the source of this problem. How can we fix this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there,
I’m sorry you’re encountering that problem.
I’ve taken a look at your site many times through several browsers and haven’t seen the problem you’re having. I did take a look at your name server settings at GoDaddy, and it appears as if things are set up properly there. Your domain mapping is done correctly on our side as well.
Can you please try clearing out your browser’s cache and cookies using the guide below? It’s possible that you’re seeing the error due to stored information.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookiesAdditionally, if you could test your site in Firefox and Chrome as well, that would be helpful. Let me know if you’re seeing anything different on those browsers.
If you do experience the problem again, send me a screenshot, so I can better understand the issue as you’re seeing it. You can simply upload the screenshot to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there. Just let me know when there’s something I can take a look at.
The page at the following link has some helpful tips for taking screenshots:
Thanks so much. We’ll get everything running smoothly.

I just uploaded multiple screenshots on different browsers with the redirect loop failing. We have already cleared caches on the browsers.
Please advise.

And when on Google Webmaster tools, it is showing a redirect error. I included a screenshot of that as well.

Hello there, Thanks for doing all that testing, and for the screenshots.
Could you please tell me if you’re attempting to visit/test your actual domain fpcomedy.com, without the www?
Additionally, can you confirm that you set up up a CNAME record with your domain registrar, GoDaddy? The WWW in front of a domain name is actually a subdomain. I’d like to make certain that’s set up properly with your registrar:

Looking forward to hearing back from you. Thanks!

The redirect error occurs both when we type in http://www.fpcomedy.com and fpcomedy.com. It occurs on mobile and desktop and in google webmaster.
Also we can’t create a CNAME record with GoDaddy without using their nameservers. And our nameservers are pointed to WordPress.

Hi there!
I had our team check out your settings. You are absolutely set up properly here. It appears to be a waiting game. The good news is that we’re able to see your site by visiting your custom domain without a problem. This, of course, is because we have different access than you do. However, you should be seeing everything working properly by Friday. I know the wait is frustrating, and hopefully the changes to your name servers will propagate internet-wide before that day.
Please check in intermittently (you may have to clear your cache first), and see if your DNS setting changes have taken effect. Drop me a line when things are live…or if you still have any trouble at all on Friday, let me know asap and we will get to the bottom of things for you.
Thanks again for your patience. I’m looking forward to hearing back from you.
