Rigging a caption for featured image on Twenty Twelve theme front page

  From what I gather, Twenty Twelve’s “featured image” feature on its front page template cannot support caption display in the manner the caption can be displayed with photos in the default template.

  I’d like to publish a photo credit with my front page’s featured image. If I can’t do this with a caption, is there another way? Perhaps with the customization I can access with my premium account?
