Right side widgets on bottom left – tried everything suggested in forum
-
I checked the widgets bar under presentation. Everything looks fine. I checked the code page for my last blog entry and removed mistakes from copying and pasting from a word document. Still to no avail. The image also seems to be ok. My browser is firefox. I also went to check out under IE and there I found that the last entry is from the 12 Dec 07. I’m at a loss. Can someone help? My page: http://www.ke-mp.com Many thanks

When you say you’ve tried everything, could you be specific? There are thousands and thousands of suggestions in the forum. Have you pasted more than the one post from Word? If so, you may need to fix the older posts as well.
Your Happiness Quote of the Week in the widget is quite wide; try reducing the headline from h2 to a simple bold and see what happens.

Hi raincoaster,
I only type the text in the prepared widget header box. It always come out bold like this. This seems to be part of the template and was never a problem. The problem seemed to have started with my last blog entry as the right side bar looked alright on the 26th when I added the other blog entry.
Everything I have done to amend the blog I have noted in my previous post. I found only two forum entries that appeard to describe a similar problem and I followed their suggestions.
Can it be that the IE problem I encounter is not even related to the sidbar issue?

It looks like you have fixed it, but I just checked your site with the W3C validation tool and it reports you have 102 html errors on your front page. You should probably look those over and start correcting them. They will very likely come back to haunt you later if you don’t.

Hello thesacredpath,
Did you look my page up using the Internet Explorer Browser? If yes, then yes the side bar is there but the blog is from the 12 December 07. I don’t know what the problem is here as I have written quite a few blogs since then:-(I still have no right side bar under the firefox browser.
Thank you for the validator link. That looks like a book with seven seals to me:-) I haven’t got much experience with html. But I will try to understand it all. Thank you.

One thing I see in January is the caption under the image on “Sculptures in the garden…” has div tags. Change those to “p” tags.
Opening tag:
<p align="center">Ending tag: `</p>’
-
Also, put the ending “p” tag on the caption before the more tag. Right now the ending “div” tag is after the more tag which will cause problems.
-
Set your blog to display only one page per post (options > reading) and then go through the posts one at a time to see which ones cause problems.

thesacredpath,
AHHHHHHHH you are my hero. That was it. I changed the divs to p’s:-) Now the blog looks all good again under firefox. Now can you help me with the IE problem? ‘a pair of big eyes look expectanly at you”:-)))

In IE7 I see January 28 as your newest post. In IE, try clearing the browser cache and then force reload the page.
-
You’re welcome. Everything looks fine to me so I think it’s a browser caching problem on your end.
-
Yes that worked. I cleared the history cookies. Again thank you for your help and patience. “here is a cup of tea and a bisquite”:-)))
