Robot txt, Google

    Hi,
    I can’t get Google to display my site. It comes up that a description for this result is not available because of this site’s robots.txt – . I have verified the site with Google via their webmaster tools. The site comes up ok with Bing.
    Any ideas

    Hi there,

    WordPress.com automatically sends notifications to Google with every post and page update. The search engines can take 4-6 weeks or more to add any new sites or after any changes such as changing from Private. For more information about WordPress.com and Search Engines, please see http://support.wordpress.com/search-engines/ .

    I have checked each of your sites’ robots.txt files and verified that none of them are set to private, so in time Google should pick up these changes.

    You can change your blog’s visibility to search engines by visiting Settings -> Reading from your WordPress Dashboard, and looking under “Site Visibility.”
