Robots.txt not found

  When adding robots.txt to the end of my domain, I am redirected to the homepage. How do I create a robots.txt file and then include it in my xml sitemap?

  Please be as detailed as possible as I am new to using wordpress. If there’s an easy way to do this with a plugin that would be great!

  Hey there, you’ve posted your question in the support forums for sites hosted by WordPress.com. Your above site appears to be using the standalone WP software and is hosted by BlueHost.

  Help for self-hosted sites using the standalone WP software can be found over at https://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums, you’ll need to register one there. You can do so by clicking the Register link in the upper right corner of that page.
