Rockfield theme title block

  I can’t seem to remove The page title block. I want the cover picture to sit up against the top menu like in the demo for Rockfield theme. I have followed the instructions

  4. You can give your site a more streamlined look by hiding the static homepage title. To do this, scroll down to the bottom, and check Hide Homepage Title.

  but there doesn’t seem to be the same functions in customize.

  I have tried to “hide” with CSS and a plugin but this just leave a nasty looking white block above the cover picture.

  Hi there,

  I’m afraid that option only exists for the WordPress.com version of the theme.
  On self-hosted WordPress sites like yours, this setting is not available.

  By while block above the cover picture, are you referring to the menu area, or something else? Can you remove any custom CSS you currently have added to hide the title? We don’t have access to the Customizer on your site to see what you’re already using, making it difficult for us to check what CSS might work for this change.

  That said, it looks like here on WordPress.com we dynamically add an additional class to the page title when the Hide option is selected, so it might not be possible to do this via CSS alone.

  Hi, thanks for getting back to me.

  That makes sense then as to why i cant remove that title section.

  Yeah i mean between the menu section at the top and the first block which i have chosen as a cover picture. The title content and surrounding padding remains even if you hide. so you are left with a white blank space between the menu and your first item of the page

  I’m afraid I’m not sure what section you’re speaking of. I don’t actually see a page title on your front page. Only the custom header image added to your theme, that appears at the top of all pages and that displays your site title, and a cover block in your front page content that shows your domain:

  Is it one of those you’re trying to hide, or something else?

  Thank you for trying to help. I understand what is happening now from your first message. I have changed to another theme now which is closer to what i want the look of the sight to be.
