Role of author and private posts

    I have setup a private blog. I only want users I invite to view the blog. Then, within that blog, I want to make all posts available to viewing to all role types. I plan to have all users that I invite as authors. I want these authors to be able to view all posts, not just their own. But it appears to me that an author can only view their own, and I have to make the role of each user an editor to view the posts. The role of editor gives them too much access. Is there a way to make users with the role of author so they can see all the posts but don’t have access to make drastic changes?

    Authors of a blog can view all posts on that blog, private or not.
