Roles, and editing Pages

  I want to give a user a page on my blog. I am planning on creating the page then using the drop down box to select them as the Author, so in theory they can edit it as they wish without any input from me.

  What role would I need to give to them?

  The way the roles work here at wordpress.com you would have to make them a “contributor” as they can edit their posts, but cannot publish. This is taken from this FAQ

  I completely disagree with Trent. If you read the page he links to, you’ll notice that the only Roles that can edit PAGES are EDITORS and ADMINISTRATORS.

  AUTHORS and CONTRIBUTORS can only edit their POSTS, not PAGES.
