Roles and editing posts

  I’m familiar with the roles for WordPress. I was hoping for some in between role – between an Editor and an Author.

  Is there any way an Author could share being an Author on a post with someone else. So they both can edit each others posts – but can’t edit ALL posts?

  Hi there, WPcom does not support creating custom user roles. You might be able to achieve this with a plugin, but that would require you to upgrade your WPcom site to either the business or ecommerce plan.

  justjennifer is correct. That won’t be possible on a free WordPress.com site.
