Rookie needs help
-
Hello you guys,
I’m totall new to WordPress and it seems to be a little more complicated than I thought it would be…
So first I registered with the free version, later on I added a custom website and made that the primary domain.
Now I want to get rid of that free ‘lionellodotbe.wordpress.com’-adress, but apparently I will lose the premium upgrade if I do that?
So basically I want to change my dashboarduser, how do I do that?Next problem is the custom e-mail, I paid for a custom e-mail using Google Apps, but now I can’t seem to find it anywhere…
Hope you guys can help me out?
Thanks in advance!!!
Greetings from a rookie-Wordpresser! ;-)

If you’re just starting out with WordPress.com, I recommend you go through our new user’s guide:
In 10 quick steps, you’ll learn about all the best and most useful features of WordPress.com, with lots of screenshots and videos.
You can also browse our support documentation and check out the forums; you might find the answer you’re looking for:
On WordPress.com, custom domains must be associated with WordPress.com sites, like lionellodotbe.wordpress.com, where your content is actually hosted.
Keep in mind, since lionello.be is your site’s Primary Domain, visitors will only see that address when perusing your site.
For more information about the differences between domain registration, hosting, and mapping, please see our page All About Domains:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/all-about-domains/
On WordPress.com, we do not provide email hosting, but you can connect email hosting from another provider to your custom domain. Here are instructions for using email with your custom domain:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/
In regard to Google Apps, you can find more information on that here:

If I’ve misunderstood the issue, or if you have any other questions, please let me know.

you have domain mapping to a custom domain name so your visitors will not see ‘lionellodotbe.wordpress.com’ – however you will always work in the dashboard of the base blog (‘lionellodotbe.wordpress.com’) when making Posts or other Admin activities – that is just the way domain mapping works

Thank you pmciano!
I do actually have another question regarding the WP-dropdown menu’s.
I created some childpages and created dropdown menu’s as well.
But you actually have to click in the menu before they appear.Do I have to activate something to make the dropdown menu appear automatically by hovering over the words?
Because right now you have to click the arrows.
Thank you for your effort!

You can accomplish this with the following CSS:
/* Make submenus appear on hover */ #menu-item-80:hover .sub-menu, #menu-item-86:hover .sub-menu, #menu-item-91:hover .sub-menu, #menu-item-97:hover .sub-menu { display: block !important; }https://lionellodotbe.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php
