RSS does not work
-
If I try to integrate http://en.blog.wordpress.com/feed into my Apple-iWEB site everything works fine. It also works well with feed://kochzivilisten.tumblr.com/rss (but I don’t like tumblr)
But if I use my own shortcode it does not work. I tried to eliminate the S in https – with no effect. How can I change the setting to get a feed-adresse which works proper?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there,
Your WordPress.com site’s feed is:
http://kochzivilisten.wordpress.com/feed
Please let me know if this solves your problem.
I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!

Hi Robyn
It isn´t – since wordpress changed my blog zu httpS.
Therefore it is https://kochzivilisten.wordpress.com/feed and this feed does NOT work. Please have a look at my screenshots: http://www.frankundlange.de/ful/Leer.html
The Error message in iWeb “Der RSS-Feed kann nicht erreicht werden“ means “The RSS feed cannot be achieved”
What can we do? Or is it possible/necessary to change my account back to http instead of https?
Thank you very much for your help and best Regards
Andreas ;-)

As you can see my interim solution with the Tublr-Feed is working perfectly: http://www.frankundlange.de/ful/blogging.html
And wordpress?! 😳

Andreas,
We’ve tested the Feed with http/https and both work fine. We even tested it on other readers, such as feedly.com, and your RSS feed worked without trouble.
I’m sorry but we can’t manage to “break” the feed in order to help with the issue!
I suspect the problem might be best resolved with the iWeb community. I know iWeb is obsolete, so it might not be simple to get help from Apple, but I’m sure other iWeb users have found a work around.
I don’t know a lot about iWeb, but will it take the feed from one of the social media sites that WordPress.com can auto-publish?
http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/
My thought is, since WordPress.com can publicize to Tumblr, and iWeb can use Tumblr’s feed, that you might be able to create the connection in that manner.
Let me know if that might work for you. Sorry I can’t be so helpful with this. If I can assist with a creative solution, I’m happy to brainstorm with you. Thanks.

Hi Robyn,
as I already wrote yesterday an the day before yesterday and as you can see on my screenshot (http://www.frankundlange.de/ful/Leer.html) the wordpress feed http://en.blog.wordpress.com/feed (this is the feed from your side http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/) is working fine. And in general I have no problems with feeds without httpS.
But I have a big problem with my own feed. So please tell my: Why do you think this is an Apple/iWeb Problem?
What do you think about this: WordPress changes my account from https back to http just for a 1 or 2 day testing. If the feed works again it is a https-problem. If it doesn´t work …
Best Regards
Andreas

Hey Andreas,
Http(s) cannot be adjusted on a per site basis. You can only turn off your personal usage of https:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/The reason I suspect it’s an issue with the way iWeb is reading your feed, is that when I look at your feed in other (current) readers, it works fine:
Here it is on Feedly:
https://cloudup.com/cNSuFVbSikKYou can also validate your feed here:
http://feedvalidator.orgI apologize, but my hands are tied in assisting with the way iWeb reads your feed. If the iWeb community cannot assist, I suggest giving the Publicize-to-Tumblr advice a try.
Thanks very much.
