rss error

  My blog armandodciti.wordpress.com has an rss widget to kevinrciti.wordpress.com that shows the following error instead of the posts:

  “An error has occurred; the feed is probably down. Try again later.”

  The feed widget points to a site that is restricted to certain viewers, but even when switching it to public, it is still broken.

  Any ideas?

  As long as a site is set to private, there will be no RSS feed coming out of it otherwise it would not be private.

  When switching it over to public, it may take several hours for that change to make its way through all the wordpress servers and for the feed to start showing up. It all depends on server loads, internet traffic and such.

  So even if two wordpress blogs are on each others’ white lists, that list is not honored by RSS?
