RSS Feed

ok drmike, since you’ve helped me through this, this is for you.
I’ve put the meta widget in my tool bar. But i was wondering how to put my blog on the feeds of other websites. I subscribed to bloglines but i dont know how to incorporate that into my blog. I’ve searched google and everywhere else to try and find a way so i wouldn’t have to ask you, bc i know i’ve already asked too many questions, but unfortunately, thats not the case. Any help would be appreciated -
You don’t have to incorporate anything. Go to your meta widget and click on Entries rss and then on Comments rss – both are fully functional. It’s now up to your readers to choose whether or not to subscribe to your blog. You cannot just put your blog’s feed on someone else’s blog. They choose whether or not to subscribe to your blog’s feed.
P.S. Some of us subscribe to our own blog’s feed so we have a back-up of each article we post.

ohh ok, so on the meta widget people can just click it and it will subscribe. Will this subscription show up on their rss feeds if they have that widget on their toolbar?
-
I tried clicking on the rss entries on your page to see if i could subscribe, but there isnt like a button to subscribe to it, it just went to another window where it had some of your posts. Isnt a rss feed, if someone subscribes to it, lets them know if you submitted a new post or updated your page?

Click on this link one line below here. I got it by clicking on Entries rss on your meta widget. http://theopinion.wordpress.com/feed/
Select Bloglines on the top dropdown menu
Now click “subscribe” and subscribe to your own feed.Click on Entries rss on my blog and like yours you get this http://bloggersblurt.wordpress.com/feed/
Select Bloglines on the top dropdown menu
Now click “subscribe” and subscribe to my feed.We do not have a means of email updating people when you post a new post. They check their rss feeds from the accounts they subscribe to and VOILA! your post is there for them to read.
For more information please go to the FAQs blog and type rss into the searchbox. Here’s the link http://faq.wordpress.com/

haha im sorry. I went on my brothers pc, and i clicked the link and it only went to the document tree. It says “the XML file does not appear to have any style information assosciated with it.” and then below that is the code. I dont know whats going on lol
-
also….if im signed up with bloglines, would that affect anything? I just did it because i saw some tutorial say it was a good idea lol so i dont know how that works yet either.

I’m sorry but I can’t help you. It sounds like you have a technical problem of some sort that I know nothing about. All I know is that Safari does have issues. So if no one else can help you before tomorrow then you can send a feedback in to staff (the button is on the top righthand corner of any blog page) . :(
